So This Is Happening of the Day: As anticipated, Stephen Colbert will announce on tonight’s show that he is officially exploring a bid for President of the United States of America of South Carolina.
According to multiple sources, Colbert is forming an exploratory committee and handing over control of his SuperPAC to Jon Stewart, which would make his run exploration legal.
The Palmetto Public Record reports that Colbert’s announcement coincides with negotiations by his Super PAC for a “substantial media buy” in South Carolina.

"Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying “yes” begins things. Saying “yes” is how things grow. Saying “yes” leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say “yes’."

How do comedians get their own Ben & Jerry’s flavors? I asked the ice cream company’s spokesman!
At the end of our interview, I’ve also opened up a poll. Please vote for your favorite comedy Ben & Jerry’s flavor. Thanks!

Conan should have one too. He can call it “That Long Pale Thing.” ‘Cause why would people not want to eat something that sounds questionable. Schweddy Balls, anyone?

"I have ridiculous respect for other the people [in this category] - including Stephen Colbert, and I just can’t even believe that this guy renders his character in real time, and how exquisite I think that show is."

-Jon Stewart, September 18th, accepting the Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series. (via playanon)

Jon Stewart, you are a gentleman and a scholar.
